Each Belbora candle, reed diffuser and soy melt is thoughtfully handcrafted using premium ingredients. With a little care, you can enjoy a consistent fragrance experience and make the most of every burn, melt or diffusion.

Candle Care
To get the most from your candle and ensure an even, clean burn:
First burn matters
When lighting your candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This may take up to 3–4 hours and helps prevent tunnelling.
Trim the wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5mm. This helps maintain a steady flame and reduces smoke.
Burn time
Avoid burning your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. For longer fragrance enjoyment, rotate between candles.
When to stop
Discontinue use when approximately 1cm of wax remains. Never burn a candle all the way to the bottom, as the jar may overheat or crack.
Candle Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Keep away from drafts, pets, and children
- Always place on a heat-resistant surface
- Do not move the candle while wax is hot or liquid
Reed Diffuser Care
Belbora reed diffusers are designed for continuous, low maintenance fragrance.
- Carefully unscrew the bottle and remove the plastic stopper over a sink to avoid spills
- Replace the collar, insert the reeds, and allow them to absorb fragrance for around 1 hour
- Gently flip the reeds to begin scent diffusion
For best results:
- Flip reeds weekly, or more often for a stronger scent
- Keep your diffuser in a draft-free area away from direct sunlight or heat
If cared for correctly, your reed diffuser should last approximately 3–4 months.
Reed Diffuser Safety
- Do not ingest diffuser liquid
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin
- Keep away from children, pets, and delicate surfaces
- Clean spills immediately, as oils may mark surfaces
Wax Melt Care
Wax melts offer a flexible way to enjoy fragrance.
- Place approximately two squares into your wax melt burner
- Allow the wax to fully melt before enjoying the fragrance
- Once scent has faded, allow wax to cool, remove, and replace with fresh melts
Wax Melt Safety
- Use only with suitable wax melt burners
- Never add water to melted wax
- Do not leave unattended while in use
- Keep out of reach of children and pets

Where are Belbora products made?
All Belbora candles, reed diffusers, and soy wax melts are hand poured in small batches on the Barrington Coast of New South Wales using carefully selected ingredients.
What ingredients do you use?
We use premium soy wax, high quality fragrance oils, and 100 percent cotton wicks in our candles. Reed diffusers are blended with quality fragrance oils and a diffuser base. Our soy melts are made with the same premium soy wax and fragrance oils as our candles and are finished with organic rose buds.
How many candles or diffusers should I have in my home?
This depends on the size of your space and how you like to enjoy fragrance. As a guide, one candle or diffuser is usually enough for a small to medium room. Larger or open-plan spaces may benefit from two, placed at opposite ends of the room for an even fragrance experience.
Can I mix fragrances in my home?
Yes. Mixing fragrances can be a lovely way to create different moods throughout your home. We recommend choosing complementary scents rather than competing ones, such as fresh or citrus fragrances in living areas and softer florals or warm blends in bedrooms. Avoid using multiple strong fragrances in the same space to keep the scent experience balanced.
How long do your candles burn?
Our standard candles offer an approximate burn time of 40 hours when cared for correctly. For best results, follow the candle care guidelines on our Product Care page.
How long do reed diffusers last?
When cared for correctly, Belbora reed diffusers typically last around three to four months. Longevity may vary depending on placement, temperature, and how often the reeds are flipped.
